Mardi Gras 2021

That’s a wrap! While Mardi Gras 2021 was not the same as we are used to, it’s definitely one that will go down in the books! We were very honored to be able to be a part of the first ever Virtual Mardi Gras Experience, Mardi Gras For All Y’all, presented by NOLA.com and Mardi Gras World and what a great time it was. From all the amazing artists, local businesses, and sponsors who participated, the event was a hit.

Over the course of the 3-Day Virtual Experience, we offered a variety of different photo options for guests to choose from. Guests could access our Virtual Photo Booth by either scanning a QR Code that was displayed on the Live Stream, or by clicking the link hosted on NOLA.com to direct them to the custom webpage made specifically for Mardi Gras For All Y’all. That’s when the fun started! Next up, the guests got to explore all these options during their Virtual Photo Booth experience:

  • Photos, GIFs, & Boomerangs
  • Multiple photo frame designs
  • Virtual Backgrounds (Screen-less Green screen)
  • Digital Props
  • Ability to share their branded photo on social media using #MardiGrasForAllYall

To put a little icing on the cake, we ran all the photos through our mosaic software to create a digital mural that combines all the pictures into one large image. If you look close you can see all the individual pictures and how they create the final image. Just something fun we wanted to do since we had so many people use the Virtual Photo Booth.

Laissez les bons temps rouler!

As Mardi Gras 2021 has passed and we look to 2022, we hope that this event is a new part of Mardi Gras that will stay around for years to come. It has been a definite highlight in a season we so needed something fun and uplifting. We want to raise our glass once more to everyone who was involved and give another special THANK YOU and shout out to all those sponsors who help made this online experience possible!
